KC, my friend, the LCS is where the future is at. The Pegasus-class PGM was an idea that did not quite work out for the USN. Fast, heavily-armed, inexpensive, yet with poor endurance and high-fuel consumption. LCS is gonna use diesels with waterjet propulsion, and be larger and hence more flexible than the PGM vessels. Having said that, it is good to see that military assets are being "recycled" after being considered redundant.
A designer, photographer and weasel-y marketing type, I am the living, breathing embodiment of NAFTA: A Canadian living in the U.S. who speaks Spanish and has travelled throughout Latin America.
